HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco Attends the 10th Edition of the Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament.

On the morning of Saturday, May 7, 2022, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Jacques of Monaco, Her Serene Highness Princess Gabriella of Monaco, and Mr. Gaerth Wittstock attended the 10th Edition of the Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament held at the Stade Louis-II in Fontvieille, Monaco.

The Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament an international U-12 Rugby, 7 tournament whereupon 16 teams from 14 countries compete against each other: Andorra, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Spain, France, Georgia, Mauritius, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Monaco, Switzerland.

According to the Monégasque newspaper, Monaco Life, the competition:

“…brings together young players all under the age of 12, to compete in friendly games with the expressed hope that they make some new friends along the way. The event includes not only regular matches but also offers courses for young adults and children with disabilities.”

The Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament is organized by The Princess Charlene Foundation and the Fédération Monégasque de Rugby.  The tournament is sponsored by Mr. Mathieu Bastareaud, the emblematic player of the French National Team and of RC Toulon who is currently playing for Lyon Olympique Universitaire (LOU).
