HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg Holds Audiences at the Palais Grand-Ducale.

On May 5, 2022, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg held audiences with representatives from the SOS Village d’Enfants Monde Luxembourg and the non-profit organization, Chaîne de l’Espoir, at the Palais Grand-Ducale in Luxembourg City. The lovely grand duchess is High Patron of both organizations.

According to the Cour Grand-Ducale, the SOS Village d’Enfants Monde Luxembourg is:

“…active in more than 130 countries where it acts for families in vulnerable situations by focusing on the rights and protection of children. The Grand Duchess took an interest in the management of projects during the pandemic.”

Discussions also focused on the SOS Village d’Enfants Monde Luxembourg aid work in Ukraine which is currently helping thousands of families and their children.

In her meeting with the non-profit group, Chaîne de l’Espoir, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was informed about the organization’s work currently being carried out in Senegal and Jordan. According to the Cour Grand-Ducale, the goal of Chaîne de l’Espoir is to “…provide children in underprivileged countries with quality medical care.”  

Discussions also focused on cases of “…young patients who will soon be operated on in Luxembourg and then accommodated in Luxembourg host families during their convalescence.”
