On May 5, 2022, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, as Patron of Food Nation, attended the side of event, Global Food Talk, at the World Food Summit held at Christiansborg Slot in Copenhagen.
The theme of this year’s summit, Transforming Food Systems to Combat Climate Change. The two-day summit will focus on combatting climate change, and address how the global food systems affect climate change and conversely how the global food systems are affected by climate change.
According to a press release the World Food Summit will gather:
“…more than 250 international stakeholders from around the world who will work together to identify and define actions necessary to transform the food systems. Collectively, the stakeholders will address current as well as new and innovative pathways for actions in order to contribute to the global roadmap towards combatting climate change. Bold steps are necessary.”
During today’s side event at Global Food Talk, Crown Prince Frederik gave a speech regarding “…Green actions toward the 2030-agenda…” as well as participated in a panel discussion with the Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr. Rasmus Prehn.
