On the afternoon of Friday, April 22, 2022, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, as Patron, attended the opening of the 2022 Forskningens Døgn (Danish Science Festival) held at The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.
The week-long Danish Science Festival, organized by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, is “…comprised of more than 700 lectures and events around the country. The festival attracts around 70,000 visitors every year.”
The purpose of the annual Danish Science Festival is to celebrate the fundamental element of research, establish a meeting point between researchers and the general public, showcase how research and innovation contribute to solving social challenges and issues, support public engagement in research and enhance the relationship between researchers and the general public.
