On Saturday, April 16, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark celebrated her 82nd birthday surrounded by her family at Marselisborg Slot in Aarhus.
At noon, Her Majesty accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, His Royal Highness Prince Christian of Denmark, Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella of Denmark, His Royal Highness Prince Vincent of Denmark and Her Royal Highness Princess Josephine of Denmark stepped out onto the veranda at Marselisborg Slot to wave hundreds of Danish citizens who came out to wish their beloved queen a very happy birthday.
After three cheers of the traditional, Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah, the Kongelige Livgardes Musikkorps (Royal Life Guards Music Corps) played the anthem, Kong Christian Stod vej Højen Mast.
