On the morning of Tuesday, April 12, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, as the Honorary Chairwoman of SchuldenlabNL, attended the spring conference of the NVVK (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Veiligheidskunde) on the occasion of its 90th anniversary in Enschede. The NVVK is an organization that helps those who are in need of financial counseling as well as assistance, and budget management.
During today’s meeting, Her Majesty received the report, Merkbaar & Meetbaar, on the effects of financial assistance. The study was commissioned by the NVVK.
According to the Dutch program, Blauw Bloed, who briefly spoke with Her Majesty Queen Maxima this morning, the report revealed that:
“…every Euro invested in financial aid benefits society up to 2 Euros. The study also revealed that people seeking help want more money to be invested in the effectiveness of financial assistance, from prevention to aftercare. The latter is important, the Queen heard, because people often have to deal with a relapse during debt restructuring…”
