On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark participated in the Kongelige Livgardes Urparade (Royal Life Guards Clock Parade) held at the Livgardens Kaserne in Copenhagen.

During today’s celebrations, Her Majesty presented the Dronningens Ur (Queen’s Clock) which is an honor bestowed on a Royal Life Guard who was selected by the Guard Company as the “…best of the period of service at the end of his service…” in a statement from the Danish royal court. The guard is appointed by his superiors and comrades, who in the selection emphasizes both outstanding military service and camaraderie.

The recipient of the 2022 Dronningens Ur went to Mr. Mads Tjørnehøj Kraaer. Congrats!
