On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the launch of the new e-health digital platform (it’s a fancy term for website), Monaco Santé.

The Monaco Santé is a platform that is intended to be a cornerstone of Monaco’s e-health strategy, jointly supported by the Department of Social Affairs and Health and the Inter-ministerial Delegation in charge of Digital Transition. According to the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco the e-health platform is:

“…one of the attractiveness challenges of the Extended Monaco Digital Transformation program which has been building for three years the key infrastructures conducive to the development of solutions to optimize the patient’s health journey as well as the relationship with healthcare establishments. and liberal health professionals.”

Intended to facilitate procedures for Monegasques, residents and visitors for better care the e-health platform is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in five languages ​​(French, English, Italian, Spanish, Russian). The digital platform offers online appointments, a directory of all health professionals in the city and in healthcare establishments, health news and updates within the Principality, archiving of personal information by opening a personal account, and emergency and guard numbers synchronized in real time.

Major new features of the system, the integration of tele-consultation and secure messaging between healthcare professionals, which testify to the growing mobilization of all players in the sector for digital technology to create a more fluid “patient experience” while maintaining the human connection.

In his speech, HSH Prince Albert II thanked all the driving forces within the Principality who mobilized around Monaco Santé platform in a context “…where digital health aims to anticipate, prevent and treat patients. A healthcare system that must be able to rely on high-performance digital tools at the service of everyone, patients and healthcare professionals.”
