On Friday, March 11, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands volunteered at the De Schaapskooi Farm and Petting Zoo in Bilthoven, Netherlands. The volunteer program is part of the NLdoet Volunteer Campaign of the Oranje Fonds.

According to RVD, the De Schaapskooi farm is:

“… located in the middle of a residential area in Bilthoven. It is a neighborhood meeting place for children and adults. [Along with farm animals] there is also a maze, a playground and a tea house.

At De Schaapskooi, the daily activities are performed by people with intellectual disabilities. Every day about twelve to fifteen employees work on the farm at De Schaapskooi. They are assisted by professional counselors and volunteers.”
