His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden Presents the Hjärt-Lungfondens Research Grant.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden presented the 2013 Hjärt-Lungfondens “…major research grant, worth 15 million Swedish Kroner, to Professor Leif Svensson of the Department of Cardiology at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm…” according to a press release from the Hjärt-Lungfondens.

Professor Svensson received the grant for his:

“…research into sudden cardiac arrest and the formation of a national center for cardiac arrest, The Center for Cardiac Arrest Science.  The purpose of the center is to tie together all of Sweden and few hospitals, ambulance and emergency services to work together more effectively.  The center conducted scientific studies of different and innovative treatments to improve survival in sudden cardiac arrest.”
