On June 6, 2013, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales arrived in Worcestershire for a one-day visit.  This morning the heir to the British throne, as Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment, presented “…new colours to all four Battalions of the Regiment…” during a ceremony held at the Sixways Stadium.

Afterward, The Prince of Wales toured the Yamazaki Mazak factory where he met with staff and apprentices.  During his visit, the prince “…was given a demonstration of a Yamazaki Mazak machine tool making parts for an artificial leg. The prince also unveiled a plaque commemorating his visit.”

Soon, the prince was off to visit the legendary Morgan Motor Company in Malvern, Worcestershire.  Whilst there The Prince of Wales took a test drive around the grounds of the company and met with staff.
