His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Toronto, Canada on Friday, April 26, 2013, for a three-day visit. Yesterday, the duke received the “…insignias of Companion of the Order of Canada and Commander of the Order of Military Merit Award” from the Governor General of Canada, Mr. David Johnson, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
On Saturday, the duke, as Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Canadian Regiment, will present new Colors to the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment at Queen’s Park.
