On April 8, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived in Mozambique for a four-day co-operation visit. The purpose of the visit is to deliver goods as well as to “…learn about the various projects that the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) is doing in the country of Mozambique.”
According to the Spanish royal court this is Her Majesty’s the sixth co-operation trip to Africa. Her Majesty, accompanied by her delegation, also transported two tons of pharmaceutical and nutritional products donated by the Foundation Reina Sofía and Laboratorios Normon.
Yesterday, Her Majesty traveled to Manhiça where she visited a research facility and health center which is funded by the AECID.
