On February 26, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in the first meeting of the Comité Scientifique et Technique de la Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco. The purpose of the meeting was to “…examine 19 new projects falling under the FPA’s three priority fields of activity and assess potential support for various new projects.”
After the meeting the sovereign prince received a check worth “…85,100 Euros representing the sales proceeds from operation ‘Save the Mediterranean Sea’. The money will help towards funding the action implemented by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco to protect the Mediterranean Sea…” according to a press release via the FPA.
