On the morning of September 19, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Defense Medical Rehabilitation Center (DMRC) in Headley Court, Epsom, Surrey, to meet with injured servicemen and women who were wounded in during their tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The royal couple also met with “… staff and representatives from a number of charities that have supported the DMRC over the years…”
Afterward, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall opened as well as toured the new “… 48-bed Jubilee Rehabilitation Complex, which includes therapy rooms and a gym for rehabilitation of wounded soldiers and a workshop for hi-tech prosthetic limbs.”
Later in the afternoon, the royal couple hosted a reception at Clarence House for the “…London 2012 volunteers and Armed Forces Personnel who helped secure the Olympic and the Paralympic Games…”
