On May 30, 2011, Charlene Wittstock, the future princess of Monaco, attended a charity fundraiser in Monte-Carlo.  The purpose of the event was to raise money for the Special Olympics. The event, entitled “The Road to Athens”, raised a significant amount of money for those participating in the next Special Olympics to be held in Athens, Greece staring on June 25, 2011.
