The sculpture, located along La Rampe Major walkway, was created by famed Dutch sculptor, Mr. Kees Verkade.  Mr. Verkade also created the lovely statue of the late Princess Grace located in the Roseraie Princesse Grace in the district of Fontvieille in Monaco.

Earlier in the day Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco presented packages to elderly Monégasque citizens on the occasion of Fête Nationale.
