On February 26, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark held an audience with the Prime Minister of Romania, Mr. Victor Ponta, at Frederik VIII’s Palace, Amalienborg, in Copenhagen.
Prime Minister Ponta also met with Danish Prime Minister, Ms. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, as well as various members of the Danish business community.
According to various sources the purpose of Prime Minister Ponta’s visit is to strengthen economic relations between Romania and Denmark by:
“…by diversifying the bilateral trade and on third markets, with a focus on ecologic technologies and products, the mutual investment increase, the initiation of joint research programmes and projects for ecologic technologies, the technology transfer to Romania, in areas in which Denmark holds the expertise.”
