On December 15, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands along with His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje attended the 7th Koninkrijksconcert in Rotterdam.

According to RVD, the concert “… aims to show the relationship between the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Today, there are more than 124,000 people from the Caribbean are living in the kingdom.”

On the evening of December 15, 2012,  Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway received the Goldene Herz Award for her humanitarian work during the 2012 Ein Herz für Kinder fundraising gala in Berlin, Germany.

Prior to receiving her award German Foreign Minister, Mr. Guido Westerwelle, praised the crown princess for her “… involvement in the fight against AIDS and her big heart for the youth …” and for basically being her fabulous self.
