On October 1, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway visited Re, a municipality in the country of Vestfold, participate in an archeological dig. During her visit Her Majesty was, “… shown around the field where the excavations going on and given a thorough briefing on the work of Kjersti Jacobsen, leader of the Battles of Re-project.”
