Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

On Thursday, September 20, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark continued their visit to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The day began with separate agendas for the crown prince couple.  His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik met with the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Mr. Eduardo Paes, who spoke to the crown prince about “…the city’s preparations for the Olympic Games in 2016.”  Afterward, the crown prince participated in the opening of COOL Denmark.  Whilst there he gave a speech and participated in a workshop.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary visited the Human Milk Bank Project at the Institute Fernandes Figueira. “The project helps underweight newborns and mothers who can not breast feed their infants…” according to the Danish royal court.

At high noon, the crown prince couple met with the Olympic Committee who, again, explained their “…preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016…”

Finally, after a long day Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a dinner with the governor of the state of Minas Gerais, Mr. Antônio Anastasia, as well as with representatives from various Danish companies in Brazil.
