His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark Attends the Opening of the Vestvolden Oplevelsescenter.

On Friday, September 14, 2012, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark attended the opening of the Vestvolden Oplevelsescenter, Ejbybunkeren (Vestvolden Science Center, Ejby bunker).

Per the royal house of Denmark:

“In 1954, the Ejby bunker was used as the control center for Copenhagen’s new air defenses that would protect the capital against air attack during the Cold War. The bunker was in operation until 1980 and was then used for various secret stamped purpose.

The Ejby bunker has in recent years undergone renovations, and now appears as an experience and communication center. Here, visitors via digital and interactive installations can experience and play interactive games, including in the control room, where installations recreate the illusion of sitting in a control center and monitor fortification ring.”
