On Tuesday, September 11, 2012, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway held an audience with South Korean President, Mr. Lee Myung-bak.
The president, who arrived yesterday evening, “… called for closer economic and other cooperation with Norway…” when he met with the crown prince as well as with Norwegian Prime Minister, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg.
Crown Prince Haakon also hosted an official luncheon for President Myung-bak and his delegation at the royal palace in Oslo.
Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the opening of the 2012 Åpnet Farlig Avfall (Dangerous/Hazardous Waste) conference in Tønsberg. The conference focuses on the “… dangers of hazardous waste to the environment …” and to raise awareness as well as to find solutions.
