Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark Visit Næstved. (VIDEOS)

On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark visited Næstved on their third stop of their summer cruise abroad the royal yacht Dannebrog.

The royal couple were warmly greeted by the Mayor of Næstved, Mr. Carsten Rasmussen, the Deputy Mayor, Ms. Linda Frederiksen as well as other government officials.  Soon the royal couple visited a sculpture by artist, Mr. Bjørn Nørgaards, and then it was time for a lovely reception held at the Næstved Rådhus (city hall).

In the afternoon, Her Majesty and Prince Henrik toured the Rønnebæksholm Cultural Center and Park.  Whilst there, the royal couple viewed an exhibition entitled, En Verden Udenfor.

Afterward Her Majesty and Prince Henrik went their separate ways.  The Queen visited a language and integration center for “… adult foreigners who want to learn Danish language and culture” as well as toured the Juvita wallpaper factory.  She also visited “…a creative workshop…” entitled, FabLab, “… a group that seeks to attract and inspire entrepreneurs and inventors and create a creative space with room for exchange of ideas and sparring.”

Meanwhile, Prince Henrik visited the Dahl Climate Center, Fredskov Plant and more.

At the end of the day, Her Majesty and Prince Henrik visited the project Urban Art at Midtermolen and held a reception aboard the royal yacht in the evening.
