On August 28, 2012, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark introduced a new project, from the Mary Fonden, entitled, LæseLeg.
According to the official websites for the Mary Fonden and the Danish royal court, LæseLeg focuses on the area of:
“…’Bullying and Welfare’ which through more than a year has been tested by nine kindergartens in three municipalities, Brondby, Odense and Aalborg, until summer 2012.
LæseLeg was developed in close cooperation with experts, is based on the language teaching tool dialogic reading. Dialogic reading has been shown to have a well-documented positive effect on youth in terms of increasing their vocabulary and strengthening their communication skills.”
