On August 7, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark hosted a lovely reception aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog for “… the Danish athletes participating in the Olympic Games…”
Also in attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.
Guests included Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Ms. Anna Kasprzak, Ms. Anne van Olst, Ms. Mariel Seierskilde, Ms. Jeanette Ottesen Gray, Mr. Mathias Gydesen, Mr. Anders Lie Nielsen, Ms. Lotte Friis, Mr. Rasmus Quist, Mr. Jacob Barsøe, Mr. Carsten Mogensen, Mr. Mathias Boe, and members of the Men and Women’s Danish Handball, Rowing, Sailing, Badminton, Track and Field teams.
Members of the Danish royal court were also present including Mr. Ove Ullerup and Mr. Christian Eugen Olsen. Representatives from Sport One as well as the director of Team Denmark, Mr. Michael Andersen, were also in attendance aboard the Dannebrog.
During the reception Her Majesty and her guests dined on delicious Danish food as well as listened to music.
