It was announced by the Swedish royal court’s Chief Information Officer, Mr. Bertil Ternert, that Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will not attend any of the athletic competitions during the 2012 London Olympic Games. ”It was planned a long time ago that Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle would attend the Olympics in London. But, now the Crown Princess has decided to stay at home in Sweden instead”, confirms Ternert. ”There is no illness nor anything negative. Rather the priority for the Crown Princess is Estelle…”
I suppose what Mr. Ternert is saying is that the little princess is too young to travel and to be schlepped all over London to attend various events with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
Anyway, Mr. Ternert has also confirmed that Their Royal Highnesses Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden have arrived in London on Monday, July 30, 2012. The royal duo will attend various Olympic events to support Team Sweden.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark was at the Tivoli Kongres Hotel in Copenhagen to attend the opening of the 2012 Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers/Interallied Confederation of Medical Reserve (CIOR/CIOMR). Afterward, the mildly handsome prince attended a lovely reception where the organizers were kind enough to serve lots of delicious finger foods and punch to their guests.
In Madrid, Spain, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I held audiences at Zarzuela Palace and frankly no one cares. Meanwhile in lovely Palma de Mallorca, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain began her long and well deserved holiday with her children and grandchildren.

Just wondering if Victoria is pregnant.
Judging by the recent photos of her jogging near Solliden Palace with her trainer a few weeks ago I don’t believe she is.
Maybe she just needs some girl time without the hubby around . . . and between the sun and the rain, toting an infant around for hours probably isn’t as appealing as she thought it might be.
I concur.
The reason is stated clearly: Estelle is the priority. If they were to take Estelle to London with them, they would either take her to events or not. Given that she’s still quite young, they would have probably left her with the nanny while the adults watch sporting events. Victoria probably just didn’t want to be away from 5mo Estelle for the majority of the day for however many days straight. Victoria just wants to be with Estelle, not necessarily with or without Daniel around.
