On July 23, 2012, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales visited the Northumberland Coast for a two-day visit.
On the agenda for the awesome prince was a tour of Auckland Castle, a visit to Abbeyfield House in Warkworth, a visit to Queen Street in Amble where he met with “… local artists, performers and fisherman…” and a visit to the RAF Boulmer were he “…viewed a demonstration of the Olympic Games Air Security Plan and received an operational briefing.”

On the evening of July 23, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal attended the opening ceremony of the 124th International Olympic Committee Session held at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London.
Also in attendance were His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, the Mayor of London, Mr. Boris Johnson, IOC President, Count Jacques Rogge, and many others.
On Monday, July 23, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh hosted a gala reception for members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at Buckingham Palace.
Guests included IOC President, Count Jacques Rogge, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, His Royal Highness the Duke of York, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, Princess Haya bin Al-Hussein of the United Arab Emirates, and Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to name a few royal attendees.
During the reception, Count Jacques Rogge presented Her Majesty with “… a set of medals – gold, silver and bronze…” Her Majesty also gave a speech stating, “…In the coming days over 10,000 athletes from more than 200 nations will be undertaking their final preparations following years of dedication, hard work and personal sacrifice. We send our warm wishes to them all for a rewarding and enjoyable Games…”
Thereafter, members of the International Olympic Committee will attend the 124th IOC Session to be held at the Royal Opera House in London.
On July 23, 2012, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain witnessed the “… swearing in ceremony…” of Mr. Gonzalo Moliner, the new President of the Supreme Court and General Council of the Judiciary. Afterward, Their Majesties joined Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias at Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid to meet with members of the 2012 Spanish Olympic Team. During the meeting His Majesty King Juan Carlos I gave a speech stating, “You will be the center of attention in all of Spain. And, once again, you all will be models of conduct and a [good] example for the young… It is a great responsibility… I wish you much success…”

On July 23, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium was in Paliseul, in the province of Luxembourg, to meet with the youths from the Unité de Guides Catholiques de Mont-Saint-Guibert attending the scout summer camp.
Upon his arrival the future king of Belgium was greeted by Mayor Jean-Pol Hannard as well as the staff from the camp. Soon, Prince Philippe met with the 140 youths and was given a tour of, well, the camp.
On July 23, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark was in Holstebro to visit the various youth at the 2012 Spejdernes Lejr (it’s a summer camp with youths who are members of the Scouts. If that makes any sense).
Whilst there the beautiful princess was given a tour of the camp as well as staff and the youths participating in this nine-day camping extravaganza.
Recently, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco attended a luncheon with members of the South Africa Olympic Swim Team in Monte-Carlo.
The casual luncheon, held at the famous Stars N’ Bars restaurant, was also attended by American fashion designer Mr. Tommy Hilfiger who provided the clothing for the South African Olympic Swim Team.
And, finally, this evening in London Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene will attend a reception for members of the International Olympic Committee at Buckingham Palace. The gala reception will be hosted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. Afterward, the sovereign prince will participate in the 124th International Olympic Session to be held at the Royal Opera House.
On Wednesday, July 25, 2012, Prince Albert II will attend a gala reception for the members of the World Olympians Association. The sovereign prince is the Honorary President of the organization.
