On July 20, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark along with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and Prince Vincent posed for their annual summer photo-op at Gråsten Slot in southern Jutland.
Also in attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte and her daughter, Princess Alexandra, along with her two children Count Richard von Pfeil und Klein-Elguth and Countess Ingrid von Pfeil und Klein-Elguth.
Noticeably absent this year were Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and their children, Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and his life partner, Frau Axelsson, as well as the crown princely couple’s youngest daughter, Princess Josephine. According to the Danish magazine, Billed Bladet, the young princess “… had a slight fever…” and therefore could not participate in the happy family photo-op.
