Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh visited Herefordshire and Worcestershire on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

On July 11, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain was in Barcelona to attend the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Comisión de Protección de los Derechos de los Animales (Committee of Protection of the Rights of Animals) of the Colegio de Abogados de Barcelona.
During the event, Her Majesty participated in a meeting as well as watched a video shown chronicling the history of Committee of Protection of the Rights of Animals. Afterward, Her Majesty, along various government officials, toured the Colegio de Abogados of Barcelona library.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Rotterdam to officially close the Maasvlakte 2 seawall. According to the Dutch company, Van Oord (one company commissioned to oversee the project), back in 2008:
… the Port of Rotterdam Authority commenced construction of Maasvlakte 2, the land reclamation project in the North Sea for the development of the port of Rotterdam.
The port of Rotterdam [grew] 20%, the Netherlands [is now] 2,000 hectares larger, and the coastline is 3.5 km farther into the sea.

On July 10, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark arrived at Aabenraa Havn (port) via the royal yacht Dannebrog to begin their summer holiday at Gråsten Slot. Upon their arrival the regent couple were greeted by dozens of well-wishers as well as local officials.
On July 2, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg attended the opening of the 40th Internationalen Musikfestwoche held at Schloss Berleburg. The princess is patron of the event. Prior to the beginning of the classical music festival she thanked numerous the donors, supporters, organizers as well as “…longtime and loyal visitors for keeping the festival alive and successful.”
This past Sunday, July 8, Princess Benedikte attended the final night of the Internationalen Musikfestwoche. During the event, she was presented with flowers (roses actually) from the Chairman of the Cultural Community of Bad Berleburg, Mr. Otto Marburger. In a speech he thanked the princess for tremendous support as well as for being her fabulous self.
