On June 15, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark gave a tour of Copenhagen aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog for the President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao and his wife, Ms. Liu Yongqing.
During the tour, the president and his delegation were, “… briefed about Copenhagen’s system for cleaning its wastewater and sewage…” and visited the famous “Little Mermaid” statue. President Hu Jintao and his wife also visited Rosenborg Slot along with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Whilst there the president and the crown princely couple were given a private tour of the slot by museum officials.
In the evening there was a gala dinner in honor of the president’s state visit to Denmark. Guests included the Crown Princely couple, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, members of the Chinese delegation, members of the Danish government as well as members from the Danish royal court.
