The Royal Correspondent

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2012 Amber Lounge Fashion show held at the Le Meridien Plaza Hotel in Monaco on May 25, 2012.

The purpose of this annual event is to raise money for the Special Olympics.  In case you are wondering what the princess is wearing, well, it’s Akris: Spring 2012.

 Yay.

Any way, guests in attendance included mushroom haircut devotee & billionaire, Bernie Ecclestone, actress Jennifer Lawrence, and bunch of extremely tanned people with lots of money.

ISSA London headlined the fashion show with Formula One racers modeling clothes by German designer, Philipp Plein.  Attendees also had a chance to view a new swimwear collection by Nichole de Carle London entitled, Serpentine, in “… recognition of the 2012 London Olympics…”

Fabulous.

On May 24, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark along with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, Her Majesty Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark, and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark attended a “… celebration concert with the Royal Life Guards Music Corps…” held at the Royal Theatre.

And, finally, earlier in the day His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark participated in the opening of the exhibition, Det Moderne Danske Køkken/Åh Karoline, Karolines Køkken og Dansk Madkultur i 50 år’.  During the event the prince gave a speech, mingled with guests and generally had a fabulous time.

On May 24, 2012, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg participated in the 30th anniversary of Natur & Emwelt /Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur according to the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, the French magazine, Paris Match, named Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg “Queen of Elegance” for the fantastic clothes she wore to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last week.  Click here to read an article from Wort (in English).
