Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Hold Audiences at Zarzuela Palace. Plus, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Goes Back to Work… and Nobody Cares. (VIDEO)

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias held audiences with representatives from DIRCOM, members of the FEDEPE as well as the winners from the XXth Edición de los Premios de Dicha Federación.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I (the Elephant Killer) of Spain is currently hiding out at his lovely palace in Madrid. But, thankfully he’s not lounging on his luxurious leather sofa, wearing his pajama’s, whilst sucking soup and watching telenovelas. Nope, the old king is back hard at work.

This afternoon at Zarzuela palace His Majesty held an audience  with the United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Afterward, the old king met with the director of the Instituto Cervantes, Mr. Víctor García de la Concha.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Meet with Soldiers and Attend a Reception (VIDEOS)

On April 26, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in London this afternoon where they attended a reception honoring “…a group of British soldiers who recreated the famous Scott-Amundsen race to the South Pole.”

Afterward, the royal couple were at the Imperial War Museum in London where they participated in a reception to “…help launch the Imperial War Museum Foundation’s First World War Galleries: Centenary Campaign…”

Random Royal News Regarding the Beau Sancy Diamond (Owned by H.I.R.H. Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia) and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. (VIDEO)

As you may or may not know by now the famous Beau Sancy diamond, currently owned by His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia, is about to be sold at auction via Sotheby’s in Geneva next month.  In the video above, Mr. David Bennett discusses the history of the diamond and much more.

Meanwhile, at the Palais Princier de Monaco, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II held a meeting with the President of the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Naser.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh Visit Wales. Plus, Other News.(VIDEOS)

On April 26, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Wales as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The queen and the duke toured Llandaff Cathedral, visited the Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, attended a luncheon held in their honor at the Margam Country Park and much more.

And, finally, it was announced that the fantastic channel, PBS, will air two documentaries regarding Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the history of Britain.

Beginning on July 1, 2012, the four-part documentary, Queen and Country, hosted by Mr. Trevor McDonald will air.  Afterward, the series, Michael Wood’s Story of England, will make its début.

Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Visit the World’s Tallest Broadcasting Tower

Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan visited the Tokyo Sky Tree aka world’s tallest “freestanding broadcasting” tower in Tokyo, Japan on April 26, 2012.

According to the Imperial Household Agency, “The imperial couple viewed the sight of Tokyo on the 450-meter second deck after hearing an explanation about the 634-meter tower.”

Random Royal News Regarding Members of the Belgian Royal Family (VIDEO)

On April 26, 2012, His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium visited the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels headquarters at the invitation of the President of the EP, Mr. Martin Schulz.

It is unknown at this time what His Majesty and Mr. Schulz spoke about in their private meeting.  Perhaps he informed the king about the realistic scenario of a European Union “collapse”.  Or, maybe they discussed their favorite vacation spots.   :)

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Philippe participated in the European Business Summit held at the Square Brussels Meeting Centre in, where else, Brussels.

And, finally, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium attended a gala dinner hosted by the 10th European Business Summit held at the Palais des Beaux-Arts.

Get Ready for Another Royal Wedding!!! Yup, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg is Engaged!!

Well, it is official.  The last of age heir from a reigning European throne is off the market, ladies!

On April 26, 2012, it was announced by the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg that His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg is engaged to Comtesse Stéphanie de Lannoy.

At this time the exact date for the upcoming grand-ducal wedding has yet to be disclosed.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens the Exhibition, ‘Dutch Design: Huis van Oranje’, in Oranienbaum, Germany

On April 25, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Oranienbaum, Germany where she attended the inauguration of the exhibition, Dutch Design: Huis van Oranje, held at the newly restored Schloss Oranienbaum.

Her Majesty was accompanied by the President of Germany, Mr. Joachim Gauck, as well as local dignitaries.  According to RVD:

The exhibition includes hand-made pieces such as furniture, jewelry, glass and ceramic utensils, accessories and handmade couture pieces, complemented with various crafts and historic objects from the Royal House Archives. The exhibition was  commissioned and organized by the Kulturstiftung DessauWörlitz, in close cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Berlin and the Royal House Archives.
