On April 10, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark along with His Royal Highness Prince Henrik received the citizens Fredensborg during Fakkeltog. This annual event is basically a torchlight procession whereupon the people gather in the inner courtyard of Fredensborg Slot to welcome the regent pair. Click here and here to view photos.
Any way, on April 11, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II arrived in Rome to begin her three-day visit to the lovely Italian city. This morning the queen visited the Danish Institute whereupon she was greeted by Ove Hornby, Chairman of the Danish Institute Board, and Ms. Marianne Pade.
