Why were mary’s father and step mother host to Charles and Camilla? Are they Danish citizens? Is that normal protocol?

I don’t believe Mr. Donaldson and Ms. Moody were hosting the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall during today’s events. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why they were there. :) Perhaps they were in the neighborhood and decided to stop by to say,HI! :)

I have to agree with Ruth. Mary’s father was not just present, but he actually helped Charles plant the tree. I can’t imagine that her father was randomly selected to do this–he was acting in some official manner.

I didn’t see the photo of Mr. Donaldson planting and then throwing dirt on the tree until a reader sent me a photo of him in action.

Am I surprised by this? Yeah, kind of. But, what are we going to do… :)
