The royal couple were greeted at the airport by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as well as government officials and local dignitaries.
This morning the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were at St. Alban’s Anglican Church were they attended the “… Service of the Holy Communion…” Also in attendance were Crown Princess Mary’s father and step-mother, Mr. John Donaldson and Ms. Susan Moody.

Why were mary’s father and step mother host to Charles and Camilla? Are they Danish citizens? Is that normal protocol?
I don’t believe Mr. Donaldson and Ms. Moody were hosting the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall during today’s events. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why they were there.
Perhaps they were in the neighborhood and decided to stop by to say,HI!
I have to agree with Ruth. Mary’s father was not just present, but he actually helped Charles plant the tree. I can’t imagine that her father was randomly selected to do this–he was acting in some official manner.
I didn’t see the photo of Mr. Donaldson planting and then throwing dirt on the tree until a reader sent me a photo of him in action.
Am I surprised by this? Yeah, kind of. But, what are we going to do…
