It was announced that Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark will visit Rome, Italy beginning on April 13, 2012 in connection with the opening of the exhibition, The Wild Swans.

According to the press release from the Danish royal court, Her Majesty will meet with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano as well as visit the Danish Institute in Rome.  Her Majesty along with President Napolitano and others will also attend a concert held at the Palazzo del Quirinale.

Meanwhile, on March 8, 2012, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg visited the Accumalux S.A. company.  The heir to the Grand Ducal throne toured the company’s facilities as well as attended a presentation meeting which focused on Accumalux S.A.’s latest activities.

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was at the National Sports Center Papendal in Arnhem on March 8, 2012 to participate in the 2012 Olympic Flame Conference.

Attendees at today’s event included the Chairman of the Olympic Flame, Camiel Eurlings, as well as representatives from various sports federations and associations, business leaders, and local government leaders.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the Women TOP Society Breakfast held at De Witte in Den Haag on March 8, 2012.

According to RVD, today’s event was organized by Stichting Talent naar de Top (Talent to the Top Foundation):

The Foundation focuses on facilitating and encouraging government, businesses, and women leaders to promote as well as recruit women for various job positions…

On March 8, 2012, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium where he met with former Danish Prime Minister, now NATO Secretary General, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

During his visit the heir to the Danish throne attended a meeting with Mr. Rasmussen and with the Danish Minister of Defense. Afterward, Crown Prince Frederik participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument in Memory to “…honor those who have fallen in NATO operations.”

According to the official press release from NATO, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik will also visit the:

…Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, SHAPE, in Mons, where he will meet Supreme Allied Commander Europe, SACEUR, Admiral Stavridis, who will brief His Royal Highness on NATO’s operations.
