On Sunday, February 5, 2012, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark turns 40 years old.  Recently, the Danish magazine, BT, caught up with the future Queen of Denmark to ask her a few questions.  Here is what she had to say:

BT: How will you celebrate your birthday?

Crown Princess Mary: I will celebrate the birthday with a party Saturday night.  (Guests include the crown princess’s dear friend, Amber Petty, from Australia.)

BT: Have all your dreams have come true now that you are turning 40?  And, have you heard the expression “forty, fat and finished?”

CPM: Many of my dreams have come true. One of my dreams has come true… I have a large family.  And, there are more dreams that I have.  Yes, I have heard of the expression “forty, fat and finished” [laughs]

There is a new exhibition on display at Windsor Castle regarding Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee entitled, The Queen: 60 Photographs for 60 Years.

Per the official site for the Royal Collections:

This exhibition celebrates Her Majesty’s 60 years as Sovereign, from the early years of her reign in the 1950s to the present day, through a wide-ranging selection of images, illustrating both key events in her remarkable life and more informal family occasions.

The majority of the photographs shown here have been generously presented by the photographers or agencies concerned, specifically for this display. Photographs of The Queen at Windsor are displayed in the centre of the gallery. These images present us with a portrait of The Queen, one of the most photographed women in the world, as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and Head of State, both at home in the United Kingdom and during some of her many travels around the British Commonwealth and the world at large. source

On February 3, 2012, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended second day of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair held at the Bella Center in — where else — Copenhagen.  From there she visited the Gallery in Forum as well as toured the Designer’s Nest and Copenhagen Vision.  Afterward, the crown princess attended the presentation of Designers’ Nest Award in Øksnehallen.
