So glad to see the Alexandrine tiara again! That is one of the most beautiful tiaras ever, IMO. I’m very underwhelmed by the gowns tonight. Carina looks dowdy and frumpy in what appears to be a David’s Bridal bridesmaid gown, Benedikte looks like she’s wearing a bathrobe, Mary should have worn something in color, and Margrethe’s unfortunately-placed brooches kind of ruin her dress. Anne-Marie looks the best, IMO.

That tiara is lovely on Her Majesty. :)

Overall, the gowns worn at tonight’s gala concert were… nice.

Her Majesty’s green lace gown looks good on her. Though, I will say that I was expecting something more dramatic. Nevertheless, I still love Margrethe. :)

Crown Princess Mary’s gown is nice as well. A very safe choice.

Carina’s Pepto-Bismol colored dress may have looked better without her signature jacket/shrug thingy around her shoulders. Her tiara. Fake. Sorry to be blunt.

Princess Benedikte’s gown reminded me of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe’s gown that she has worn in portraits and at Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra’s (now Countess of Frederiksborg) wedding in 1995. Though I will say that she still looked great… love her. :)

Princess Theodora (minus the slaughtered dead animal covering her shoulders), Princess Alexandra and Crown Princess Marie Chantal looked great as well.

And finally… Her Majesty Queen Anne-Marie looked fantastic. By the way, what happened to King Constantine? I had no idea he’s using a cane these days. And, I wonder what happened to Prince Nik and Princess Tatiana as well as Princess Alexia?

I actually think the Danish prime minister Helle looked The best. No tiara, no enormous jewels just a beautifully fitted and sophisticated gown.

I love Daisy’s tiara. And she looks so genuinely happy. Yippee for all Danes, even those of us who are only 1/2! :)

Also, I think it was great of CP Mary to not out-shine the Queen, who is the guest of honor.
