On January 5, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the opening of the NHO Conference held at the Opera House in Oslo, Norway. Also in attendance were Prince Minister Jens Stoltenberg and NHO President Kristin Skogen Lund.
Every year the NHO Conference attracts over 1,300 international business leaders, politicians, academics, and experts to listen to lectures as well as participate in debates. This year’s theme focused on the economic crisis in Europe and the “…aging population puts the welfare state under pressure. Centralizing tendencies change the relationship between the regions. How can public and private sectors work together to meet these challenges in the best possible way?”
