T.R.H.s The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall Attend a Concert at Royal Albert Hall.

On Tuesday December 6, 2011, T.R.H.s the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall attended a concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.  The purpose of the event was to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.  The funds raised will be used to help and support  the “…UK City Riots Appeal [which helps] disadvantaged young people from riot-torn areas to rebuild their lives and communities.” 

Oh yeah, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also attended the charity concert.

H.R.H. Princess Claire of Belgium Speaks Out About the Recent Accusations Against her Husband, Prince Laurent. (VIDEO)

This afternoon in Brussels, Belgium H.R.H. Prince Laurent opened a shelter for the homeless and their pets. By the prince’s side was H.R.H. Princess Claire.  During a brief press conference the princess spoke out about the recent documentary that aired on the Belgian television network, RTBF, accusing Prince Laurent of domestic violence as well as just being a general pain in the ass.

While the prince was speaking the princess intervened and said, “I think that’s enough…”  She added that the insinuations are completely false.  Moreover, that her husband and three children were deeply hurt by the documentary as well as the myriad of other stories swirling around the press regarding her husband who looks like Peter Griffin from the show, Family Guy.  Click the link below to watch the video.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Gives a Speech During the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP17) in Durban, South Africa

On December 6, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco was in the presence of several heads of state, heads of government, and ministers during the inauguration of the High Level Segment of the United Nations Climate Change conference (COP17) in Durban, South Africa. The prince gave a speech during today’s event regarding the environment and climate change.

H.R.H. Prince Carl Philip of Sweden Visits South Africa (Part Two)

H.R.H. Prince Carl Philip of Sweden was in Durban, South Africa where he participated in a breakfast meeting with the Environmental Ambassador Anna Lindstedt on December 5, 2011. Afterward, the prince visited the Volvo assembly plant where he also received information regarding Volvo’s environmental activities.

The day ended with a visit to the Trade Council business event in the Swedish Pavilion at COP 17th.  Prince Carl Philip, along with Environment Minister Lena Ek, attended the inauguration of the Swedish and EU Pavilion and then received a tour. The prince was also given the opportunity to speak with the Swedish companies are represented at United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 17).

His Majesty King Carlk XVI Gustaf Presents the 2011 Prince Eugen Medals During a Ceremony at the Palace in Stockholm

On December 6, 2011, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf presented the 2011 Prince Eugen Medal at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The Prince Eugen Medal is awarded to those for their outstanding artistic achievements. This year’s medals were awarded to:

  1. Goldsmith Helena Edman
  2. Sculptor Rune Rydelius
  3. Photographer Gunnar Smoliansky
  4. Textile artist Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir (Iceland)
  5. Architect Jan Gehl (Denmark)

H.M. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in Den Haag

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, on Tuesday December 6, 2011 presented a banner to the Military Administration Corps of the Army at the Parliament Buildings in Den Haag.  The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Mr. JSJ Hillen and Chief of Defence, General PJM van Uhm. The banner also symbolizes the connection with the Dutch royal family and the solidarity within the military corps.

On December 6, 2011, H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg received fan audience with General Stéphane Abrial, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (ACT) of the Treaty Organization (NATO) at the Grand Ducal Palace.

Yesterday, H.R.H. Hereditary Grand Duke the company, Ceratizit.  During his visit the heir to the grand ducal throne toured the production site which produces industrial electronics, automotive stuff and petroleum.  To view photos please click here.

H.R.H. Princess Astrid of Belgium Attends a Conference

On December 6, 2011, H.R.H. Princess Astrid of Belgium attended a conference at the University of Antwerp regarding poverty, migration and integration The event was organized by the Centre on Inequality, Poverty, Social Exclusion and the City on the occasion of the publication of the 20th Annual Poverty and Social Exclusion.
