The Royal Correspondent

T.R.H.s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary along with their four children are heading down under — i.e. Australia —  for an official visit.   The royal family will visit Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne beginning on November 20 – 26, 2011.

In anticipation of the upcoming visit, the royal couple released a new photo of the crown princely family.  The image shot by Steen Evald was taken at the couple’s home, Amalienborg Palace, in Copenhagen.

On November 17, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the 16th Foundation Ballet Gala of the Dancers ’79 at the Amsterdam Music Theatre.  According to various sources, the purpose of the foundation is to support and promote the art of dance in general and “…promising young dancers.”  Proceeds from tonight’s event will be donated to the Foundation Dancers ’79.
