T.R.H.s Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark in Tokyo, Japan

While many royal watchers are focused on the activities happening in Copenhagen this afternoon — meaning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meeting the T.R.H.s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark — T.R.H.s Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are currently in Japan for an official visit.  Unfortunately, no one really cares.  Except for me.  :)

Any way…

On November 2, 2011, the royal couple were in Tokyo where they met with various local dignitaries as well as Danish businesses based in Japan.  Princess Marie visited a department store, Isetan, where the famed jewelry manufacturer, Pandora, sells its products. Meanwhile, Prince Joachim visited a hospital where “…medicines manufactured in Denmark are used…” for patients with diabetes.

During their visit the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also had a private lunch at the crown princely couple’s home, Frederik’s VIII Slot, where they probably had a fabulous time.
