The Royal Correspondent

On November 1, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, H.R.H. Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, and H.R.H. Princess Maxima of the Netherlands arrived on the island of Curaçao for a visit.

Upon their arrival at the Juan Hato airport, the royal trio were greeted by Minister-President Gerrit Fransisco Schotte as well as other local dignitaries.  After a meeting at Fort Amsterdam Her Majesty Queen Beatrix, H.R.H. Prince Willem-Alexander of , and H.R.H. Princess Maxima visited the Princess Margriet School and an education center for “…horeca students…”

On November 1, 2011, T.R.H.s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark were at the Aalborg Air Base to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jægerkorpset (Danish Special Forces). Looking spiffy in his uniform the heir to the Danish throne inspected the troops as he walked past them smiling ear to ear. Once that was all done the crown princely couple stared at guns and other stuff and of course mingled with past as well as present members of the Jægerkorpset.

On Monday October 31, 2011, H.R.H. Prince Daniel of Sweden visited the United Nations headquarters in New York where he met with members of the Swedish UN delegation. During his visit the prince had a brief meeting with the Swedish UN delegation regarding various issues.  Then the handsome prince attended a luncheon meeting with several officials from UNICEF and the World Food program where discussions focused on health and nutrition as well as other aspects regarding UN activities.

After lunch the prince toured the United Nations headquarters and sat in on a UN session which discussed social development. Later in the afternoon, Prince Daniel was in Brooklyn where he visited Gotham Greens a company “… dedicated to growing the highest quality vegetables and culinary herbs — pesticide free — in sterile rooftop greenhouses using clean, renewable energy.” source
