Its seems like only yesterday when H.R.H. Prince Christian of Denmark was born on October 15, 2005, and now he is off to begin his first day of kindergarten school at the Tranegårdsskolen minutes from central Copenhagen.
On August 12, 2011, T.R.H.s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary along with the young prince Christian posed for hundreds of photographers and reporters outside of their home before the young prince was sent off to school. When asked how he was feeling Prince Christian replied, “I am happy and I’ve even packed my school bag…I also have a packed lunch!” His parents beamed with pride.
Aww…

He’s almost 6yrs old and he is just starting kindergarten? Is the term kindergarten used differantly in Denmark than in the US, Britain and Australia, in those countries Kindergarten means pre-school, at 5yrs you go to ‘regular’ school (year1) in the countries I just mentioned he would be entering year 2 at that age.
Others have been referring to his new school as kindergarten… so…
Perhaps I should use the term, Elementary School instead…
Great wrap up.
Do you know the designer of Mary’s dress? She looks so pretty
