H.R.H. Prince Henrik of Denmark. Oh My (pearl clutch)!

On August 1, 2011, H.R.H. Prince Henrik of Denmark arrived at Gråsten Slot in a cool car whilst wearing, what looks to be, a swim cap on his head.

His neighbors were completely puzzled by his, um, choice of headwear.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on a Walk through Holyrood Park and Grocery Shopping!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were recently seen walking hand and hand through Holyrood Park in Scotland looking content as well as relaxed.  To view photos please Click here.

H.R.H. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway Meets with Members from the Red Cross

On August 1, 2011, H.R.H. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway met with various members of the Red Cross who helped those in need after the horrific attacks in Utøya and Oslo on July 22, 2011.

According to the Norwegian online magazine, Side2, in her speech to the Red Cross members the crown princess:

… emphasized that without the Red Cross, the tragedy would have been greater. She believes that more innocent victims would have been lost if it had not been for the volunteers and staff…

The Danish Royal Family Annual Summer Photo Shoot at Gråsten Slot

On August 1, 2011, the members of the Danish royal family, including T.R.H.s Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, and Prince Henrik (younger), gathered to partake in the annual summer photo-call at Gråsten Slot.  Also in attendance were H.R.H. Princess Benedikte, Prince Gustav and his partner, Frau Axelsson.  Making their début at Gråsten Slot were the twins, T.R.H.s Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.  The gathering for the press according to the Danish magazine, Billed Bladet, lasted for fifteen minutes.

T.S.H.s Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Host Their First Official Visit

Fresh from their brief holiday in Antiparos, Greece, Their Serene Highnesses Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco, hosted an official visit for the ”… Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ Matthew Festing on July 31, 2011.”  

According to the official site for the princely family of Monaco, Mr. Festing was:

…welcomed at 11.15 am at the Palais Princier de Monaco by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, H.E. Mr Michel Roger, Minister of State and Colonel Luc Fringant, Chamberlain.

[Mr. Festing] received military honors,  and a mass was celebrated led by H.E. Mr Bernard Barsi, Archbishop of Monaco and Canon César Penzo in the Palace chapel.

At 12.15 pm, H.S.H. the Prince granted an audience to H.M.E.H. Fra’ Matthew Festing. After, the Grand Master named H.S.H. the Prince as an ‘Honorary Bailiff Grand Cross’. The Sovereign and H.M.E.H. Fra’ Matthew Festing then had a working lunch in the residence of the Minister of State.

At 9.30 pm, H.M.E.H. Fra’ Matthew Festing, the Prince and Princess Charlene attended a benefit concert for the charitable organisations of the Order of Malta in the Prince’s Lodge of the Main Courtyard.

There was also lovely dinner at the Palais Princier de Monaco in honor of Fra’ Matthew Festing’s visit to the tiny principality that evening.
