H.R.H. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in Mozambique, Africa

On May 23, 2011, H.R.H. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark flew to Mozambique, Africa for a two-day trip with the Danish Red Cross.

As a special advisor with the Danish Red Cross the purpose for this trip was to “… visit many of the projects by the DRC…” and to see what else they have been doing in Mozambique.  During his stay the heir to the Danish throne slept in sleeping bags at their camp in Pambarra, Mozambique (Billed Bladet considered the living conditions “primitive”.  What ever. )

The next day, Crown Prince Frederik spoke with the local people whereupon they told him about, “…their daily struggle to survive.”    After his quick chat, he hoped aboard a plane and high-tailed it back to Denmark so he could celebrate his 43rd birthday at the palace in Copenhagen.

H.H. Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Mr. Alexander Johannsmann: Information About the Upcoming Religious Wedding

In the latest edition of the Danish magazine, Billed Bladet, it was announced that Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, H.R.H. Prince Henrik, T.R.H.s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will, in fact, attend the religious wedding of H.H. Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Mr. Alexander Johannsmann on June 18, 2011, in Bad Berleburg, Germany.

Unfortunately, T.R.H.s Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark will not attend.  The reason for their absence:  Prince Joachim will be regent while the queen and the crown prince will be at the wedding.

Over 200 guests have been invited to the religious wedding including the Greek royal family as well as smaller non-reigning princely families from Germany.  According to Billed Bladet:

…stage is set for two days of celebration for the wedding. On Friday June 17, there will be an evening barbecue on the lawn at Schloss Berleburg.  The next day will be the wedding at the evangelical church in Bad Berleburg and the ceremony begins at 17:00 (5pm.)

After the ceremony there will be a reception in the courtyard of Schloss Berleburg.  In the evening,  family and close friends have been invited to the big wedding dinner and party in a tent behind Schloss Berleburg. The invitation says the dress code is white for the men and long dresses for ladies.

‘I’m in the process of planning and’ve mastered the details’, says Princess Benedikte.
