On March 16, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark participated in the Queen’s Watch in Copenhagen, Denmark. According to Belga News the Queen, “…handed out “the Queen’s Watch” to private Jon A.N. Bislev of the Royal Life Guard on the Queen’s Watch parade…”

Meanwhile, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are on holiday… again. And, once again they were in beautiful Switzerland with their family enjoying the slopes, hanging out with friends, and eating.
It’s been quite some time since Crown Prince Frederik actually worked, though he was Regent for a couple of days whereupon he fired a couple of Danish ministers and other unimportant nonsense, but whatever. I swear, this guy is lazy in my opinion. In case you are wondering, H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary is still on maternity leave and it is unknown when she will return to her official duties. Some say it will be after the Danish twins christening in April, while many other royal watchers highly doubt that she will.

How many vacations are they allowed? They seem to be carrying out less duties.
Honestly, I don’t know. But, some royal watchers, including myself, believe that Crown Prince Frederik doesn’t seem to do much if you compare his calendar to other Crown Princes around the world. He tends to busy himself with silly activities like attending sailing or handball events. From time to time he does participate in important events.
Perhaps he does work “behind the scenes” that is not published on the official website for the Danish royal family, but who knows. I will say that last year and years before that, Crown Princess Mary worked more than her husband.
I just had a look at Frederik’s calendar on the official royal house of Denmark website and today the Crown Prince is working. So what is he doing today? Attending a Curling game in Denmark.
